Your day to day
    |
  • Oversee the employee life cycle which includes the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information on all employees.
  • |
  • Tracks employee leave of absence while ensuring medical records are maintained in a separate and secure confidential file
  • |
  • Manages workers compensation claims to ensure appropriate employee care
  • |
  • Track employee learning & development
  • |
  • Manages the recruitment and hiring process
  • |
  • Identify, recruit, and make recommendations for hiring candidates for all hotel positions.  Screen, interview and test applicants; coordinate background checks/references, and process applicable paperwork, etc. May attend career events and job fairs
  • |
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and the organization to improve the employee experience
  • |
  • Build great relations with outside contacts 
  • |
  • Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community 
  • |
  • Supports a positive and safe employee work environment, performing with passion and a high level of customer service while maintaining a high level of confidentiality 
  • |
  • Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done 
  • |

What we need from you
    |
  • At least 2 years’ related experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • |
  • Experience with the use of applicant tracking software
  • |
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies including federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • |
  • Strong knowledge of state & federal employment regulations
  • |
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, TEAMS & Outlook)
  • |
  • Some college courses in Human Resources, Employment Law or related field preferred. 
  • |
  • Must speak fluent English and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • |
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness
  • |
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • |
  • Other languages may be preferred 
  • |
