 About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie to join Boaz in Jumeirah Restaurants. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Report to work on time and check schedule the day before
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the day to day operation is smooth
  • Prepare the daily mis-en-place, cooks and serves all recipe dishes from section according to brand standards
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Minimize wastage through correct preparation levels, stock control and portioning
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Control food stock of designed section
  • Proper handling of overproduction and wastage for each functions
  • Conduct taste of preparation with senior in charge
  • Maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment
  • Follow HACCP procedure according to company standard
  • Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils
  • Report any defects in equipment immediately to the chef in charge
  • Clearly communicate any issues impacting their section / food quality
  • Attend training sessions whether internal or external as and when required
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
  • Be able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross training when directed
  • Report to chef in charge of any problem or complain related to colleagues or guests
  • Coordinate daily task with chef in charge
  • Promote and maintain effective communication between supervisors and each other
  • Carry out any reasonable instructions / duties as directed

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as Demi Chef De Partie
  • Knife Skills
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Understanding of basic kitchen hygiene and safety
  • Able to work alone or with junior assigned
