Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is looking for Culinary Management, Hotel Management and Food and Beverage Management J-1 interns and trainees.

Gaylord Opryland Hotel comes with “everything in one place,” as its official slogan states. Clocking in with almost 3,000 rooms, 16 restaurants, and more than 700,000 square feet of meeting space, the idea behind this resort is that guests can have everything they need under a single roof. Past guests have included a number of presidents (and first ladies). This premier Opryland hotel offers guests an unforgettable getaway with all the excitement and energy of Music City under one spectacular roof. Located only 10 minutes from the airport and featuring an extraordinary selection of dining, shopping, recreational activities and entertainment, there’s never a shortage of things to do at our resort.

Your Host Organization (Gaylord Opryland will arrange temporary housing on-site for the first 14 days at NO cost. During this time meals will be also offered to you at no cost. You will have meals at no cost during your working days once you are at your permanent housing. You will also receive an allowance on top of your salary of $300 USD. You will also receive all other regular perks and benefits that all STARS receive at Gaylord Rockies/Marriott Hotels, such as traveling perks, free dry cleaning and others.

1.- Culinary Management
Phases for the CULINARY training program include:
1.Arrival, Orientation & Intro to American Culinary Arts
2.Culinary Arts for Casual Dining, Quick Serve or Upscale
3.American Techniques/Methodologies for High Volume
4.Banquets, Garde Manger, Pastry, Customer Service

Pay rate: $16 per hour (Intern) $16.50 per hour (Trainee). Min of 32 hours per week, average of 40 with option of overtime.

2.-Hotel Management Intern
Phases for the HOTEL MGMT. training program include:
1. Front Desk
2. Consider It Done
3. Night Audit
4. Concierge
5. Rooms Control & Leadership

Pay rate: $16.00 per hour (Intern) $16.50 per hour (Trainee). Min of 32 hours per week, average of 40 with option of overtime.

3.-F&B/Restaurant Management Intern
Phases for the Restaurant MGMT. training program include:
1. Arrival / Orientation
2.Restaurant Operations Restaurant
3.Business Activities
4.Restaurant Policies & Procedures
Pay rate: $15 per hour. Min of 32 hours per week, average of 40 with option of overtime.

In order to be eligible for the J1 Visa required to participate on this program, you must be:

-Enrolled into a full time university studying Tourism, Hospitality or Events or Culinary
OR
-A recent graduate of Tourism, Hospitality or Events
OR
- Have 5 years worth of full-time work experience (gained outside of the USA) in the tourism/hospitality field.
  • Langue requise: Anglais.
