JOB SUMMARY

To promote and ensure guests’ satisfaction, achieved through his/her ability to anticipate and deliver prompt and courteous service to our guests. To develop and maintain a strong teamwork environment, placing emphasis on associate satisfaction both within and across departments.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Open and close shift in accordance to manager’s checklist.
  2. Initiate guests’ interaction through soliciting feedback from them.
  3. Train, maintain and enforce all Marriott service standards using records, menus and appropriate reference materials.
  4. Execute revenue and check control procedures properly.
  5. Assist in handling daily duty scheduling and time adjustments when necessary.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all associates and guests.
  7. Gather and implement all proper tools for running shifts (i.e. schedules, floor plans, bookings, order chits, Micros printer rolls and any other equipment).
  8. Assist in finding solutions for problems such as call outs, last minute bookings or any other daily problems that may arise.
  9. Ensure guests’ satisfaction by knowing their needs and communicating to the kitchen correctly.
  10. Be on the floor during all meal periods to ensure adequate manpower coverage,
  11. Assist in conducting taste panels and menu classes for restaurants on a daily basis.
  12. Assist in monitoring restaurant’s staffing hours and overtime on a daily basis.
  13. Ensure all mis-en-place is done on a daily basis.
  14. Follow the Hotel’s uniform, grooming and hygiene standards.
  15. Manage an effective repair and maintenance programme for the restaurant through work orders, inspections, etc.
  16. Enforce Marriott’s Principles of Hospitality at all times.
  17. Be an aggressive team player and have a “Can Do Attitude”.
  18. Attend daily 15 minutes training.
  19. Promote inter/intra-department relations through open communication.
  20. Assist in the general cleaning of the restaurant.
  21. Communicate directly and/or through the use of a log book for daily information.
  22. Identify and recommend new incentive programmes, ideas or operation process.
  23. Assist in the development and execution of the marketing plan of the restaurant.
  24. Cash/Bank Handling
  • Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and
    policies.
  • Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any
    discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
  • Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.
  • Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and
    resource materials; and maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times.


25.Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum GCE ‘N’/’O’ Level
  • 1 – 2 years' experience in similar capacity or relevant F&B experience will be a plus
  • Has pleasant and friendly disposition
