The Global Marketing team brings to life the unique promise of Hilton's portfolio of brands by defining, creating, and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results.

What will I be doing?

We are seeking an energized, strategic creative leader who will continue to build our in-house creative studio team! The Hilton Creative Studio is part of the Global Enterprise Marketing function within Global Marketing and Loyalty and includes a team of designers, copywriters, developers and account managers. The creative studio partners with cross-functional teams across the organization to build marketing platforms and campaigns to drive consumer awareness, engagement, preference and loyalty with Hilton and our 18 brands. We seek a leader with a passion for developing creative strategies driven by consumer insights and a design thinking approach. You will need to be strong at forming relationships quickly in a fast-paced organization, pushing the bounds of break-through creative using new technologies and a data-based approach.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead and champion Hilton's brand positioning at the Hilton enterprise level and across our portfolio of brands.
  • Extend and influence Hilton's design platform through all business units across the globe to ensure distinctive, consistent brand voice and design.
  • Provide strategic, innovative and design thinking led solutions that facilitate fresh, compelling creative concepts enabling business objectives.
  • Build and encourage team members to deliver results against goals of the Global Marketing and Loyalty organization (measured success at driving business effectiveness, quality, efficiency and scale).
  • Identify top talent for all in-house agency functions (creative design, copy, development, production, etc.) and match creative resources with organizational needs.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to understand strategic objectives, understand scope of work pipelines and encourage phenomenal creative work through strong fundamentals (writing creative briefs, communicating work, etc.).
  • Lead global teams in a global environment to handle local market needs.
  • Stay updated on Hilton and competitive landscape, including industry, competitive, target audience and marketplace changes.
  • Lead development, partnership and oversight of 3rd party creative agencies and independent contractors to include Tier 2 and 3 agencies, photographers, video production.
  • Use standard methodologies, data and technology to find opportunities to build and scale new solutions for creative and content development.

What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Demonstrates an innovative, strategic creative method by applying customer insights, design thinking, and technology
  • Ability to encourage, lead and provide creative direction to teams allowing strategic, high impact and effective creative
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to inspire and sell creative rationale to senior management, and multi-functional teams
  • Able to direct high-quality creative across mediums and channels
  • Familiar with working in an agile environment
  • Excels in a fast-paced, matrix environment and is at ease with ambiguity
  • Experience across mediums (A/V, digital, print, collateral, etc.) and channels (web, email, mobile, social media, on-property, etc.)

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of agency management experience at an in-house or external agency, creative studio or similar environment
  • Five (5) years managing and leading large, globally dispersed teams in a fast paced and cross-functional focused environment
  • 25% travel

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Advanced Degree in Design or Marketing
  • Experienced in building and leading creative teams across global regions (Americas, EMEA and APAC)
