Job Description


Showcase your interpersonal and team-building strengths as Assistant Director, Talent & Culture – and be an ambassador for the extraordinary career opportunities and service culture at your hotel.

  • Assist with managing and overseeing the daily operation of the Talent & Culture office and performance and development of the T&C team
  • Partner with the Director, Talent & Culture in assessing organizational needs, developing aligned human resource solutions, and implementing strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, administration, health & safety and colleague wellness
  • Assist leaders and colleagues hotel-wide with any concerns and questions to foster an engaged work environment through collaboration and transparency
  • Advise and assist leaders with the interpretation and consistent application of company HR policies and procedures and compliance of all applicable Federal, State and local legislation
  • Champion the hotel’s recruitment program and ensure all departments are supported during each phase of the recruitment process
  • Assist team members with requests for Leaves of Absences, managing and tracking LOAs to ensure compliance with legislation and policies
  • Lead the benefits administration with application of benefit plans for all colleagues, as well as workplace safety programs to ensure regulation compliance, colleague awareness and an accident free workplace
  • Coordinate and facilitate various training programs to support legal compliance, delivery of luxury service, and colleague engagement
  • Assist with planning, promoting and preparing for T&C initiated colleague events, programs and initiatives
  • Promote positive employee relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun
  • Assist in overall Hotel management responsibilities as needed
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all health and safety policies  
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary - $78,871.50 - $105,162 Annual


Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Previous human resources or hotel operational leadership experience required
  • Excellent communicate skills, both verbal and written in Spanish & English
  • Ability to translate verbally and in writing between Spanish & English
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Ability to problem solve and follow up with creative solutions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
