Job Title

Director, Reservations & GMS

Inspires, motivates and manages the Technology team in formulating a prospecting strategy into a concrete action plan for the Technology team to Identify and capture new business opportunities across NORAM.

The leader of the Technology Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving a team of 5 business development associates driving the growth of the CRS (iHotelier/ACRS/APMS), GMS CRM, WEB, and VoicePro Call Center business across North America and Canada.  These Technology solutions, combined with all of Amadeus’ product families, ensure we deliver maximum value to our clients in their revenue generation strategy.

In this role you'll:

  • Research market triggers, identify opportunities and initiate a connection with senior level account contacts who make decisions about BI spending.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly sales plan to assist the team in identifying the sales activities which will drive business development of new BI sales; meet or exceed all sales and growth goals for North America
  • Act as a solution architect to assist the Technology Sales Specialist team to assist large customers to formulate strategies around integration of BI spend into their revenue generation strategy.
  • Educate the market and position Amadeus' technology capabilities and our value proposition effectively, including industry panels and events. 
  • Lead team of Technology sales specialists - coordinate product training, coach to achieve goals, develop skills, business development, career pathing.
  • Represent the voice of the customer to shape the overall technology product/stack Go-To-Market strategy, roadmap and analytics reporting.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of Technology team.​
  • Develops departmental plans, coordinates allocation of resources and controls policy formation in area of responsibility. Anticipates business issues and challenges for the department to define and resolve complex problems that may impact into the division / function. ​
  • Works following the overall department strategy, with limited supervision in a complex environment.
  • Participate in the preparation of the long term plan (sales forecast and solutions based on customer feedback) and definition of the sales plan.
  • Identify and qualifying business opportunities by establishing and developing relationships with top-level executives.
  • Identify customers’ specific needs and submit business proposals on complex deals.
  • Coordinate and participating in RFP/RFI responses and follow-up.
  • Promote and selling products, services and solutions through direct contacts, events and road shows.
  • Deliver sales presentations to senior management and demonstrate products.
  • Manage negotiations to closure.
  • Actively participate in the overall marketing activities and programs and contributing to marketing intelligence.
  • Perform Market and competitor analysis.


About the Ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience within the Hospitality Industry
  • must have at least 5+ years of experience In Sales Leadership within the Hospitality Industry
  • must have at least 10+ years of experience in Sales within the Hospitalty industry
  • Ability to influence senior level executives
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Results-oriented, biased towards action
  • Sales Leadership, creating a collaborative environment, associate development
  • High energy and passionate
  • Strong people skills and the ability to adapt quickly to the company's operating environment and gain the trust and respect of prospects, customers, colleagues and team members
