purpose 
The Regional IT Support Technician is responsible for the support of citizenM IT technology used within operational citizenM hotels in the US, citizen hotels under construction, and the support office. He/she takes ownership of the assigned properties with regard to the quality, state and security of all IT equipment within the property.

  • remote and on-site support of technical issues in hotels and offices
  • on-site support of IT system installations during construction
  • apply and maintain security standards in the hotels
  • understand, own and keep up to date the property specific documentation to provide proper support for the key systems within the assigned properties

qualifications / skills

previous experience of hotel systems and time spent as hotel IT support is beneficial. A well rounded understanding and working knowledge of hotel operations and experience of the standard systems employed by hotel chains.

  • technical hardware skills:
    • payment terminals
    • kiosks (Front desk)
    • low-voltage cabling/programmable logic boards
    • active and passive components of the IP Network for LAN and WAN
    • file servers, desktop, laptop and handheld computers, mobile devices
    • audio visual systems and components
    • printers any other Peripherals connected to the hotel LAN
    • PBX, Attendant Console, handsets, repeaters
    • cell/mobile phone networks and in-building signal re-transmission
    • broadcast TV service
    • high speed internet access (HSIA)
    • digital CCTV systems
    • door lock and access control systems
  • technical software skills
    • operating systems: MAC, Windows, IOS
    • network administration tools
    • remote access, terminal servers, VPN
    • Google cloud suite
    • office automation and productivity
    • Interfaces and Integration to applications

locations / hours

  • This role will be located in the New York City, NY.  Hybrid working.
  • This is a full-time position. Regular travel is required
