Come join our Four Seasons Family! We are looking for an In-Room Dining (Room Service) and Pool Manager. This person would ideally would have two to three years’ previous experience as a Senior Assistant Manager or Department Head in Food and Beverage. This is a Department Head level position and eligible to receive an annual incentive.

The Position/Role

The In-Room Dining and Pool Manager is an essential member of the F&B Team. He/She must love leading a team and creating unique experiences and memories for our guests. As the In-Room Dining and Pool Manager, you are responsible to achieve the optimum level of guest satisfaction and departmental profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high team morale.


  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Resort’s In-Room Dining and Pool Departments to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.

  • Establish the long-term strategic planning for the In-Room Dining and Pool operations.

  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining, in-room private bar services and Pool services.

  • The ability to work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Resort Chef to design effective menus and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.

  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.

  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. 

  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other areas of the Resort.

  • Create and nurture a Great Place to Work for All. 

  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Who You Are

  • Strong Leadership Skills - Can grow and develop, inspires trust, an active listener, organized, proactive, accountable, empathic

  • Two to three years’ previous experience as a Senior Assistant Manager or Department Head in Food and Beverage.

  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel operation, overseeing In-Room Dining and/or Pool.

  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.

  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.

  • Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.

  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.

  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, Spanish is not required but desirable.

  • Valid Driver’s License required and clean driving record.

  • Valid Food Handlers and RBS Card.

This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.
