The Beverly Wilshire a Four Seasons Hotel is looking for a Room Service Assistant Manager  who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Room Service Assistant Manager  reports to the Outlets Manager . Work authorization for the location is required.

Responsibilities

The Room Service Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing the work of employees in the Room Service Department while ensuring guest satisfaction.

This position will also be responsible for:

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s Room Service Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
  • The ability to work closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, Food and Beverage Managers, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design effective menu and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Process the payroll and gratuity reports as required.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all meal break policies and procedures.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for an individual who poses solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations and serve as role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles.

We are looking for candidates who are proactive, have a technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Ability to read, write and speak English is required.

This position involves a heavy volume of organizational skill and ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills.  Sun, ADP and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
