What will I be doing? We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage Hilton Worldwide Sales accounts. This position is responsible for managing a large roster of accounts, identifying each account's potential growth, and developing the account. Most of these accounts need to be revived within the Hilton network or newly assigned accounts to the enterprise. The Account Manager’s prime focus is on account development to drive revenue and grow market share!

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for account management and account development for a large roster of accounts.
  • Qualify accounts and use compliance to account governance protocol. 
  • Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales Specialists and other relevant partners to provide total client solutions.
  • Consistently build client accounts by utilizing the organization's sales techniques and strengthening existing client relations.
  • Reliably respond to and present sales pitches to complex client requests across multiple business areas with an overall solutions strategy.
  • Deal with objection handling by using a repositioning sales strategy or by successfully negotiating, if and when applicable.
  • Incorporate a personalized plan to the organization's existing client acquisition sales techniques to enhance selling performance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client questions.
  • Apply standard methodologies in day-to-day client data management and maintain clients' privacy, using the organization's CRM program.
  • Communicate hotel promotions with a high degree of ease to support client needs.
  • Understand current product offerings, including all brands.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of industry trends and upcoming trends competitors are embracing.
  • Understand current client needs and how to best address them.
  • Ensure revenue targets are achieved.
  • Demonstrate the dynamic value of multiple brands to the client.
  • Effectively ask prospective clients for the sale, using existing sales techniques provided by the organization.
  • Effectively employ negotiation techniques that facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes and agreement while encouraging trust.

What are we looking for?

  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality/group travel industry
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Strong collaborative analytical skills; Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in negotiation skills to improve value for internal and external partners
  • Self-starter, well organized, acute focus on detail, and a confident standout colleague, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work well under pressure, and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to work overtime as needed
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Can travel as needed for various reasons, including site inspections, customer visits on-site, in-person meetings, customer conferences, etc.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of hospitality sales experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Travel - 10%

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • Global Account Management experience in hospitality sales
  • Experience in Delphi or similar property sales management system
  • Experience in Salesforce Customer Management (SFCM)

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $54,500 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Sales Incentive (Bonus) Plan consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
