What will I be doing:

The Director of Brand Planning & Analysis will lead a team who will provide consultative support on articulating, substantiating, and operationalizing brand strategy as well as centralized planning tools for the Global Brand and Communication (GBC) organization. The Director will lead a team that serves as the central support system for GBC governance as well as assisting GBC leaders with the articulation of their strategies. The role will also lead any analysis required for potential new or existing programming.

The Director of Brand Planning & Analysis will work with GBC leaders to support enterprise projects that have a significant impact on the organization’s metrics and key strategic priorities. As such, the position will require very strong people management and communication skills, strong financial and analytical capabilities, and the capability to be proficient in the functional expertise of partner teams.

This position will collaborate among internal partner groups including but not limited to Brands, Commercial Services, Technology, Operations, Hilton Honors, Marketing, Development, Global Sales, Food & Beverage, Learning & Development, Corporate Responsibility, Hilton Supply Management, and Architecture & Design.

More specifically, you will:

  • The Director will be encouraged to mentor, develop and support team members in achieving the following:
  • Support the elevation of strategic brand capabilities at Hilton through the creation of scalable tools, processes, and ways of working that support building/deploying products and programs
  • Lead annual planning/financial processes by partnering with leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Create centralized processes (such as Hilton’s project management approach) to help the organization be efficient and clear on accountability and priorities
  • Build toolkits that enable departments to approach business challenges with common language, qualitative and quantitative approaches, and structure
  • Support the preparation of Board materials and Leadership Team presentations
  • Lead evaluation of the GBC organization’s core priorities, programming, and resourcing against market dynamics to ensure continuous improvement for all customers across all metrics
  • Lead competitive brand intelligence and analysis
  • Lead analysis of new business opportunities and conduct review of existing programs or products
  • Lead analysis of existing global or cross-brand programs and their impact on our owner communities
  • Partner with GBC leaders to define and shape special strategic projects
  • Partner with business units or functions on strategic projects to accelerate the business performance
  • Provide support to GBC leaders on potential business opportunities and assist with the formation of business cases

  • Exceptional financial and analytical skills with proficiency in using data to advise and drive key decisions
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing objectives with limited resources
  • Advanced operational and financial business modeling techniques
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years in hospitality, corporate strategy, or management consulting
  • Two (2) years of managerial experience
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel as required (<10%)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
