Located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Hilton Atlanta located one mile of renowned attractions and premier venues is seeking an Event & Service Manager!
What will I be doing?
An Event & Service Manager will execute written sales agreements for rooms only, event only and small to medium moderately complexed bookings. Dependent on the booking assigned, maintains liaison between the customer and their representatives and the hotel by directing departments within the hotel as to their specific roles in pre-planning and execution. Maintain contact with the customer “on the convention floor” to liaison with hotel departments for customers onsite needs. Maximize revenues through up-selling and accurate forecasting of both rooms and food and beverage. Responsibilities also include customer satisfaction where the goal is to re-book customer business for future dates.
Essential Functions:
- 25% - Initiate verbal and written communication with the customer. Proactively communicate with both internal and external customers with regard to (group resume, weekly pick up, post event reports, banquet event orders, etc.) and all revenue streams from the initial welcome to the conclusion of all events and payments. Data entry using FDC / Delphi, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Hilton systems, to include R&I and OnQ.
- 35% - Directly serves on site group and catering customers in a proactive manner relative to logistics of group rooms blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, ancillary and vendor services, affiliates / exhibitors, and related billing processes.
- 10% - Provides direction and supervision of responsible operating departments and team members during execution of guest’s event.
- 10% - Participates in internal and external meetings as determined by the Director of Events
- 15% - Administrative duties include but are not limited to, Date Entry, Banquet Event Order creation, copying, distributing of internal and external documents, commission report generation and phone coverage.
- 5% - Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests. FDC / Delphi maintenance and special projects.
