 About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Commis 3 to join Trattoria Toscana in Jumeirah Restaurants. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Report to work on time and checks schedule the day before.
  • Prepares the daily mis-en-place, cooks and serves all recipe dishes from section according to brand standards.
  • Minimizes wastage through correct preparation levels, stock control and portioning.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Maintains a clean, safe and healthy working environment
  • Follow HACCP procedure according to company Standard
  • Clearly communicates any issues impacting their section / food quality
  • Reports any defects in equipment immediately to the chef in charge
  • Works with colleagues to ensure the day to day operation is smooth
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
  • Attends training sessions whether internal or external as and when required
  • Be able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross training when directed.
  • Carries out any reasonable instruction / duties as directed.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 6 months culinary experience
  • Knife Skills
  • Understands different cooking methods
