Loro Piana is looking for a Sustainability & Chemical Coordinator to join its its Sustainability team.

We are looking for talents with passion for sustainability, who want to participate with us in the challenge to protect the environment and respect people.

Energy efficiency and renewable sources, responsible supply chain and creative circularity are just some of the priorities for which we have set ourselves long-term goals.

In this context, the Sustainability & Chemical Coordinator is a member of the Sustainability team reporting to the Sustainability Manager and is responsible for the chemical management system and for the coordination of initiatives aimed at improving and monitoring the environmental performance of production processes, working closely with the company functions involved in the purchase and use of chemicals and in the operational management of plants.

Responsibilities include structuring chemical management processes and tools for qualitative and quantitative analysis, and creating ad hoc databases and dashboards to query and articulate data and information relating to the environmental performance of processes and products.

Main activities of the role:

  • Calculating and managing data on typical consumption of the plants to answer questions from external stakeholders and as a basis for improvement plans;
  • Actively collaborating with teams such as Operations, HSE, Facility & Maintenance and Quality on projects and activities concerning the environmental performance and plant engineering issues of the plants;
  • Preparation and coordination of periodic environmental audits to which the company is subjected;
  • Coordinating all processes envisaged by the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) program, including internal good practices to improve the management of suppliers of chemical products and textile raw materials and the outsourcing of processing phases;
  • Search for innovative solutions aimed at reducing the impact of the chemicals used, especially through the risk assessment of the chemical inventory;
  • Participating in other environmental sustainability projects developed as part of the environmental strategy and in the framework of the LVMH LIFE 360 program;
  • Actively contributing to the dissemination of the sustainability principles adopted by the company, also through staff training activities.

  • At least 5 years of experience in companies with high organizational complexity, specifically in the sustainability, HSE or Operations functions;
  • Strong attitude and interest in business development;
  • Excellent skills in analysis, synthesis and presentation of complex topics;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;
  • Fluent in Italian and English (French considered a plus).
