Description of the Training:
Experience the Food and Beverage Department in a luxury resort environment through a J-1 Internship at the Charlotte Marriott SouthPark. During the internship, you will experience most areas of the food and beverage department through rotations in the different outlets on property.
The program is designed to give you the experience needed to excel in the hospitality industry when you return home.

Description of the Location:
A charming yet sprawling Southern city, Charlotte is a pleasant urban area nestled in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, within a few hours’ drive of both the Appalachian Mountains and North Carolina’s white sand beaches. Shop-till-you-drop types will love SouthPark mall, the city’s upscale destination with more than 150 retailers and restaurants. An amusement park on the city’s outskirts, Carowinds, boasts a water park as well as attractions like Fury 325, North America’s longest steel roller coaster.

• Must be a current student of a Hospitality or Tourism post-secondary academic institution.
• Or recent graduate (less than 12 months ago) of a Hospitality or Tourism post-secondary academic institution.
• Or a graduate of a Hospitality or Tourism post-secondary academic institution (more than 12 months ago,) with 12 months of verifiable related work experience.
• Or must have 5 years of verifiable related work experience.
