POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, prepare, and present South East Asian dishes that meet and exceed guests' expectations.
2. Collaborate with the culinary team in creating and updating the a la carte and buffet menus, ensuring a variety of South East Asian options.
3. Supervise a team of kitchen staff, providing training and guidance in South East Asian cooking methods, techniques, and culinary traditions.
4. Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality control.
5. Collaborate with management to determine supply needs, procure quality ingredients, and manage inventory.
6. Stay updated with the latest trends in South East Asian cuisine and incorporate them into the menu, as appropriate.
7. Participate in special culinary events, promotions, and presentations, showcasing the South East Asian cuisine options available at The Stage.
8. Work with the front-of-the-house team to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Chef, with a focus on South East Asian cuisine, in a high-volume, high-end restaurant or hotel environment.
2. Culinary degree or equivalent required.
3. A deep understanding and passion for South East Asian culinary traditions, ingredients, and techniques.
4. Familiarity with a la carte and buffet-style service.
5. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
6. Knowledge of best practices for kitchen hygiene and safety.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
8. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a South East Asian language is a plus.
