Training Coordinator

Newrest IAH is looking for an experienced Training Coordinator in the Houston area. The Training Coordinator will assist the Training and Development Coordinator to identify and monitor training needs in the organization, a, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. To ensure everyone is thoroughly trained and can do their job effectively, encourage employees to learn mandatory and new skills and develop existing ones. Design and develop training programs to suit the operational needs of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Administer training programs aligned with the organization’s objectives and have a solid understanding of these.
- Working closely with various leaders across the organization and understanding their units and training requirements.
- Embracing unique styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions, or coaching.
- Under the direction of the Training and Development Supervisor assist designing curriculums for all employees (i.e., values).
- The ability to be always an effective ambassador for the organization.
- Any other duties as requested by your supervisor.
KEY COMPENTANCIES
- Administer, development, and execute training.
- Designing and supplying a variety of training styles.
- Building relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Train and ensure adequate Safety Standards are implemented within the facility.
- Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present to large audiences.
- Organizational skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
- At least two years of experience in training role and/or at least three years food and catering industry experience preferred
WORK RELATED CIRCUMSTANCES
Must be flexible, able, and willing to work extra hours and weekends, holidays, and evenings when required to meet seasonal or customer demands. Consider shift start and finish times and transport links to the site; living within reasonable traveling distance to the site may be a consideration.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to access all public areas of the property and airport, including stairwells, confined spaces, heights, etc. Work may involve lifting heavy/bulky objects properly within the published health & safety guidelines on manual handling.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
You must always wear a visible name badge. Complete all relevant paperwork within specified standards and timeframes. Ensure all specified training and food safety standards are always adhered to. Complete any other duties as requested by management.
