Six Flags White Water Atlanta is seeking a creative and out of the box thinker to lead our Human Resources department! This position is responsible for the supervision of the Human Resources Department including performance evaluations, coaching, daily duties, and disciplinary action as needed. The ideal candidate is professional, energetic, self-motivated, and able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Human Resources daily operations to include assisting with employee investigations, employee concerns, and other issues requiring Human Resources intervention.
  • Collaborate with Park management in developing initiatives that support the Company’s Guest Service Survey and Team Member Voice goals.
  • Responsible for the planning, communication, and execution of park employee events.
  • Serve as a liaison between department leadership and employees to resolve workplace issues and ensure program expectations are being met.
  • Travel periodically to home countries of applicants for international visa programs to recruit, interview, and hire staff.
  • Conduct orientation for international employees covering Park policies, Park tour, program expectations, and housing.
  • Ensure payroll processes weekly and communicate discrepancies in payroll records in a timely manner.
  • Review requests for unemployment claims and employment verifications and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Track and analyze statistical employment data to coordinate targeted recruitment efforts.
  • Assess Park staffing needs, interview schedule, and applicant traffic through the UKG applicant tracking System.
  • Ensure hiring, discipline, rewards/recognition, and termination decisions are consistent with park, state, and federal guidelines and laws.
  • Assess training program and implement programs to ensure fulfillment of training objectives.
  • Conduct annual review of team member handbook and personnel forms and suggest changes.
  • Oversee the operation of employee wardrobe including the organization, variance reports, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor department team member voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
  • Responsible for maintaining all park standards and enforcing all park policies and procedures.
  • Serve as Park Duty Manager as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Park leadership.


Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the General Manager.


Minimum Requirements:

  • At least five years of Human Resources management experience is required.
  • Experience developing and presenting trainings to multi-level groups.
  • Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of Human Resources documents and other proprietary information.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
